Senior

Saturday Cricket

We have four Saturday senior men’s teams. The first team play in the Home Counties Premier Division 1. The second, third and fourth teams play in the Cherwell League divisions 2,6 and 8.

GLTCC Wicket

GLTCC Wicket

The men’s 3rd Xl will be competing in the Cherwell cricket league division 6 for the 2016 season. Cricket in the 3rd team is competitive and provides a bridge between junior cricket and competitive men’s league cricket. The junior cricketers wishing to play at the next level receive the valuable support of our most experienced players.

Our 4th team play their cricket in the Cherwell cricket league division 8. It offers a chance for our junior members to get a taste of competitive men’s league cricket with the guidance of an experience captain who makes it his mission to give the juniors experience. We are lucky to have the best third and fourth team pitch in the league.
Full 2016 playing fixtures can be found here

Sunday Cricket

For those of you that cannot make the commitment to playing league cricket on a Saturday, we have a full Sunday fixture list at the club. Most of our games are home games as the opposition normally want to take advantage of our facilities. If you don’t want to take your cricket too seriously, or are looking for more of a social game in idyllic settings, Sunday cricket at Tew is the place to be.

Indoor Cricket

We have two indoor league teams who play in the Banbury Indoor cricket league at the Spiceball leisure centre on Tuesday nights throughout the winter. The second team play from November through til January and the first team play from January til March.

Winter Nets

All playing members above the age of Under 13s are welcome to attend our winter nets. The nets are held for several weekends throughout February and March at the Dewey Sports Centre Bloxham School. The exact dates and times for 2016 are yet to be announced. If you are looking to join our club in 2016 you are welcome to attend winter nets. Please contact Phil Slatter for more details.

Summer Nets

As soon as the weather permits, we train at club on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Each session includes fitness, batting, bowling and fielding conducted by the club coaches. The use of bowling machines, net and wicket practices are available to all members throughout the summer as part of our men’s coaching. Specialist coaching sessions are provided throughout the season. Stay tuned for further details.
