About us

Located in one of the most picturesque parts of the country, Tew offers a wonderful cricketing experience for all age groups ranging from juniors (U7, U9, U11, U13, U15, U17 and U19) through to adult (1st, 2nd, 3rd, Mid-week leagues and Sunday friendlies). Across all ages, club membership in 2017 was just over 200, a majority of which are junior members but with over 50 members representing our 3 Saturday League teams during the season.

The mens’ teams play in the Home Counties Premier Cricket League Div 2 (W), and in Divisions 3 and 7 of the Cherwell League on Saturdays from May through to September. Every year the club enters the highly prestigious national Village Competition. The junior teams play in the West Oxfordshire junior cricket leagues for the relevant age-groups. Strong emphasis is placed on youth development as evidenced by the hugely popular and well-attended Friday junior coaching and practice sessions, and the continual ‘blending-in’ of younger players into the mens’ sides. This has led to a regular number of junior County representatives, Regional division selection, and full County selections for our playing members.

The club is proud to regularly host Oxfordshire junior age-group representative matches as well as Oxfordshire CCC 3-day matches and various touring teams. We are justifiably proud of both our grounds, pitches and facilities and on a warm, sunny day there is nowhere nicer to play cricket or just relax and watch…
