About us

Located in one of the most picturesque parts of the country, ‘Tew offers a friendly welcome to a variety of teams ranging from
junior “Kwik-cricket” teams, through the junior age-groups (U11, U13, U15 &amp U17) and up to adult (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, Mid-week, & Sunday).

Across all ages, club membership in 2012 was just over 200, a majority of which are junior members but with over 80 members representing our 4 Saturday League teams during the season.

The mens’ teams play in the Home Counties Premier Cricket League Div 2 (W), and in Divisions 4, 7 &amp 9 of the Cherwell League on Saturdays from May through to September. The midweek team competes in the
Brackley midweek league. Every year the club enters the national Village Competition.

The junior teams play in the West Oxfordshire junior cricket leagues for the relevant age-groups. The strong emphasis on youth development, as
evidenced by the hugely popular and well-attended Friday junior coaching and practice sessions, and the continual ‘blending-in’ of younger players into the mens’ sides,
has led to a regular number of junior County representatives, Regional division selection, and more recently full County selections.

The club is proud to play host regularly to Oxfordshire junior age-group representative matches and 2013 will see the return visit of Oxfordshire CCC for a 3-day match.

We are justifiably proud of both our grounds, pitches and facilities and on a warm, sunny day there is nowhere nicer to play cricket or just relax and watch…
