3rd XI vs Wolverton II

  • 10th August 2015

Wolverton won the toss, elected to bat and made a healthy start reaching 49 before losing their first wicket. However, very few batsmen then got going and they were bowled out for 144. Simon Priscott (5 for 27) and Rob Taylor (3 for 23) proved most successful on the day. There was also an extremely neat run out from Henry Simmonds to remove the number 3 bat. In reply, Tew looked solid and Cam Brown (63 not out) played a quality innings supported in fine style by Tom White (34) and Sam Barnes (37 not out). Batting sensibly we reached the total in 30 overs and with 9 wickets in hand. Well done to all involved. The game was played in the right spirit and we came away with a good result.
