The Club has registered with Tesco for this scheme and we are now collecting vouchers.
Vouchers we collect will be redeemed for new sports equipment to be used by club juniors on Friday evenings.
Please hunt down any vouchers you may have obtained and bring them to the Tew Centre by the ASAP !!. The more vouchers we can collect, the more equipment
that we will be able to 'purchase'. Thank you.
More recognition...
The Club is pleased to announce that our skipper Arf has been selected to play for the touring Australian Indigenous Cricket team in a 20:20 match against a Home Counties XI tonight.
If anyone can make the trip, the match starts at 5.30pm. Good luck Arf!
Cherwell League week 8
1st XI - WON
2nd XI - LOST
3rd XI - WON
The 1sts beat current leaders Bourton Vale, bowling them out for 89 - Sam Catling ending up with an impressive 5-8 and skipper Arf Smith supporting with 4-26.
The 2nds had a very bad batting-day at the office, against a good Chearsley side. On a very hot afternoon, our bowlers stuck at their task and bowled Chearsley out. Our best batsman by a distance was also our youngest player - Josh Garrett.
The 3rds beat 'Nondies IV. Top effort from skipper Paul Woolley to get a side together whilst on the other side of the globe, amidst some pretty disappointing and lame excuses for non-availability!
Then to score 61 jet-lagged. Well done Paul! NB. The 'Cherwell League 2009 results' link in the title bar will take you directly to more detailed scores and other results...
FANTASY LEAGUE
The first set of standings for this season (May's results) are now available.
Have a look and see how you're doing...
Last season's winner has a bit of ground to make up already. Thing is, her husband isn't doing much better either. Still, at least they can console each other...

Sizing Guidance...
Navy blue sweatshirts and hooded-tops are probably best ordered as ONE size LARGER than your normal playing shirt, e.g. L becomes XL.
The smarter ('casual-wear') version of the navy blue 'polo' style shirt is probably best ordered as ONE size SMALLER than your normal playing shirt, i.e., XL becomes L.
Please see the Club Clothing section for an order form and more details.

Outgrown kit
Do any of you have any old cricket tops, that your children have outgrown, that would be useful to someone else? If you do, please bring them along on
Friday and put them in our 'recycling box' by the Tew Centre bar. Anyone who puts something in can swap it for another item in the box.
If you are just taking something out of the box, all we ask for is a small donation in return to the Club.
